Цукермана, предположившего, что после разгрома Пальмирского царства Аврелиан включил отряд эмесенских лучников в состав местной регулярной римской армии. Тем не менее исследователь без каких-либо доказательств отождествляет этих лучников с последующей дворцовой ауксилией Regii, упоминаемой в тексте Notitia Dignitatum, но этот вывод, на наш взгляд, звучит неубедительно.
